Downloading IOXperts Webcam driver and Industrial Camera driver betas

IOXperts video driver betas are available for download from our video beta download page].

As of 4 June 2006 our latest beta is 1.1.2a6. Please choose the highest numbered beta.

If you choose to use an IOXperts beta driver, you should sign up on the mailing lists to receive notifications of newer betas and the problems fixed in them. See below for more information.

Why do IOXperts beta drivers expire?

Beta versions of all IOXperts drivers expire within 4-6 weeks of the drivers release, usually on the first day of a month. This is done to keep us from having to support potentially buggy versions of our drivers.

Normally we have a new beta posted before the old one expires, but occasionally we have to build a new one on the day the old one expires.

Serial Numbers and IOXperts Betas

IOXperts betas still require serial numbers to be released from the 30 minute demo period that our products have. If you already have a serial number, it should work with the beta.

Reporting Problems

Problems with our beta drivers should be reported by filing a [Support Request]. Be sure to include the version of the driver and a description of the problem.

Support for Intel and PowerPC Macs

All cameras which were supported in version 1.1 of our video drivers are fully supported on the PowerPC.

As of 4 June 2006 we are still in the process of resolving byte ordering issues in the Intel versions of our driver. Therefore, if you want use your camera on an Intel Mac, you must read the release notes to determine whether the current beta has been updated for Intel for your camera. Failure to do so could lead to permanently disabling your camera.
